A first note

You saved your first link

You just tapped Note That Down in the share sheet, and this page is now on your list. That is the whole motion. Everything else happens on our side.

What just happened

Your link is in the queue. Within a minute or so, we fetch the page and pull out the text of the article itself, leaving the menus and ads behind. Then we write a short summary of it: the main argument, three points worth knowing, and an honest verdict on whether it is one to skim, read, or not miss.

If a piece sits behind a paywall, we say so and give you the link, rather than guess at what the rest of it says.

What arrives next

Because this is your first save, a short letter is already on its way to your inbox, usually within a couple of minutes. This page will be the only thing in it. It is there so you can see what the letter looks like before you have saved anything real.

After that, you get one email each morning, at 6 a.m. your time unless you pick another hour in Settings. It holds a short summary of everything you saved the day before, each with a link back to the original, so you can decide in a few minutes what is worth reading in full. Anything you save after the morning letter goes out waits for the next one.

Getting the most out of it

Save from any app with a Share button: articles in Safari, newsletter posts, and YouTube videos. Tap Share, then Note That Down, and carry on with your day.

Save freely. You do not need to decide in the moment whether something deserves your time. That is what the morning letter is for. It does the sorting, and you keep only what earns it.

That is all

There is nothing else to set up. Close this page, go back to whatever you were reading, and save the next thing that catches your eye. We will see you in the morning.
