A plain note on privacy

What we keep, what we don't

A tool that sees everything you mean to read should be clear about what it does with that. Here is the full picture, in plain words. The short legal version is on our Privacy page.

What we keep

Your email address, from Sign in with Apple, Google, or a magic link. The links you save. The letters we send you, including the summaries in them. Your delivery settings: time zone, send hour, and whether the letter is on. That is the whole list.

What we fetch, and for how long

To summarize a link, we fetch the page and pull out the article text, or the captions for a video. That text is only used to write your summary. It is never shown in the app. We delete it once the letter has been sent, and at most a week after it was summarized for links that did not make it into a letter. What stays is the link, its title, and the short summary.

Who processes it

Summaries are written by Claude, a model made by Anthropic. The article text is sent to Anthropic to produce the summary and is not used to train their models. Our database runs on Supabase, the website on Vercel, and your letter is sent through Resend. The iPhone app may send crash reports to Sentry so we can see what broke. The app also records a few usage events, like finishing setup or opening a link from your letter, in our own database so we can see what's working. No one else gets your data.

What we don't do

We do not sell your data. We do not run ads. We do not track you across other apps or websites. We do not read your email, and we do not use your logins or cookies to fetch anything. We only see the links you choose to share with us.

Deleting your account

In the app, go to Settings, then Delete account. It removes your account, every link you saved, and every letter we sent you, right away. It cannot be undone.

Questions

If something here is unclear, or you want to know exactly what we hold about you, ask. A person will answer.
